Five Conferences in 15 Days | On the road to meet speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, caregivers and courageous brain injury survivors

It's been a busy few weeks at Constant Therapy, as our staff attended and participated in 5 outstanding conferences in 4 different states! We met so many dedicated clinicians and courageous survivors - we came back thoroughly inspired to keep working to provide the highest quality, most innovative speech and cognitive therapy for stroke and brain injury rehab.

Brain Injury Association of Maryland - Annual Conference, March 24-25  AND

Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts - Annual Conference, March 24

Lots of you stopped by Constant Therapy's tables at both conferences and we heard many compelling stories of brain injury recovery and rehabilitation from both survivors and clinicians. You told us how frustrating, courageous, life-altering, stressful, rewarding, and challenging life is as a survivor, caregiver, or clinician. Brain injury affects people from all walks of life - 1.7 million people experience a traumatic brain injury each year in the U.S., with short and long term consequences that are life-altering.

Support Group for People Living with Primary Progressive Aphasia & their Loved Ones, March 23

Primary progressive aphasia (PPA) is a rare neurological syndrome in which language capabilities are progressively impaired, while other mental functions remain preserved. Needless to say, people with this condition and their loved ones often feel isolated from society. We were honored to have been invited to speak at this amazing support group at Loyola University in Baltimore. We came away understanding how comforting it is to connect with others experiencing the same life challenges.

AOTA 2016 Annual Conference & Expo, April 7-10

Occupational therapists rock! We found an enthusiastic, large (10,000 +!), caring, curious and talented gathering of clinicians at the conference in Chicago! We saw innovative therapies and tools that demonstrate how occupational therapy positively impacts so many lives everyday. We appreciate your participation in our hands-on Tech Day presentation on iPad-based rehabilitation therapy. OTs truly provide #distinctvalue in their profession!

NYSSLHA Annual Convention, April 8-9

The New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Associations's 56th Annual Convention was packed with a full catalog of educational sessions & workshops, committed exhibitors, and thousands of dedicated speech-language professionals. All in beautiful Saratoga Springs, New York. Thanks to new and old friends who stopped by our booth!
