Favorite Motivational Quotes – When Being a Survivor of Stroke or Brain Injury, or a Caregiver, Feels Overwhelming

Constant Therapy | Traumatic brain injury, Stroke

Some days feel overwhelming – when you wonder if you can keep going; whether what you’re doing is really making a difference.  You’re not alone – we’ve all been there.

Remember that big changes start with little steps

Sometimes it helps to stop for a moment, take a deep breath, and get some inspiration to help move forward. If you take just one little step today, you’ve moved closer to your goals. That’s all you have to do on those discouraging days: just take one step forward!

Here is some motivation to do that:

“You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”

 – Dale Carnegie

“If you’re going through hell, keep on going.”
– Winston Churchill

“Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might as well put that passing time to the best possible use.”

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.”
 – Zig Ziglar

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”
 – Thomas Edison

“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we fall.”
– Confucius

“Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
– A.A. Milne (Christopher Robin to Pooh)
